Lancaster Gate station used a metric modular 200x100mm white glazed wll tile for the main Central Line platform. In the interconnecting passageways the format of tile changed to 100x100mm on the strongly curved walls. Specialist fittings and glazed external corner beads were commissioned for the stairwells in keeping with the design and style of the overall scheme.
Craven Dunnill Jackfield has over 15 years’ experience supplying specialist ceramics for London Underground. Manufacturing wall tiles & fittings, often in conjunction with partners Johnson Tiles, for over 60 London Underground stations across the Transport for London (TFL) network. The ability to provide a complex menu of products and fittings with specific performance requirements is an everyday reality within the project teams at Craven Dunnill Jackfield, and this has been critical to our successful partnership with TFL, and to successfully delivering so many London Underground stations during this time.
