The mews is located in the Holland Park conservation area, one of London’s most prestigious neighbourhoods. The completed renovation by Simpson Studio has transformed the property, creating a space that is both contemporary and respectful of the building’s traditional fabric and listed building status.
One of the key elements of the design was the use of British materials. Simpson Studio utilized rich, striking marble surfaces in a range of tones, including Stonecombe in the kitchen, Moorcroft in the shower room, Ledmore for the bespoke console, and Swaledale to complement the London Plane timber joinery in the sitting room. British-made cast-iron radiators, sanitary-ware, and other premium fixtures and fittings were sourced and installed throughout. The master bathroom features a bespoke mosaic designed using Craven Dunnill Jackfield tiles, which complements the polished plaster walls.
